Fiber art made from sustainable, local materials.

About Me

Hi! I'm Stephanie.

I'm now living in Worcester, MA, after a series of jaunts around the country and world, including: Eugene and Portland, Oregon; Asheville, North Carolina; and Beijing, China. I am a fibers and metals artist, as well as a crafter of various other persuasions. My day job (in the best possible way) is in non-profit research, and I'm in grad school right this very moment for International Development...so, kinda busy :)

To buy my handspun, hand dyed yarn and weavings, see my Etsy shop!

To get in touch, email me!

This blog is mostly about showing off things I've made and places I've been and arranging a series of pretty pictures to my personal satisfaction.

I first learned to spin on a drop spindle while doing a Work Study at the John C. Campbell Folk School. I asked a very nice lady who was teaching a workshop about the craft, and she got me started in an evening. I've been addicted to all things wooly ever since. Thank you, nice Folk School Lady-I wish I remembered your name! I have AAS in metals and jewelry, but that's had to compete with a passion for fibers for some time now.

As they say, thanks for stopping by.

Oh, and--unattributed photos on here are mine; all others will have a linked source. Reciprocity in this matter is appreciated!

And why Milo Knows? The Phantom Tollbooth, my friends.
